Amandari Resort, Ubud
Amandari is an Aman resort in Kedewatan, Ubud, set on the edge of the Ayung River gorge. Free-standing pavilions and villas follow village-style pathways, and the swimming pool curves with the rice terraces below. The drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar is about an hour and a half.
On the Bali Indonesia Tour, four nights at Amandari include daily à la carte breakfast for two, one special dinner during the stay, and a choice of three complimentary activities per person.
Both resorts are paired on our Bali Indonesia Tour: four nights at Amandari in Ubud, then four nights at Amankila in Karangasem, with air from Los Angeles or San Francisco.

Suites are free-standing, with alang-alang thatch and coconut, teak, and bamboo interiors.
- Pavilions open onto shaded terraces and outdoor soaking tubs. Some have a private pool.
- Villas are larger homes with a private pool and a direct outlook over the gorge and rice terraces.
Meals draw on Bali’s seasonal produce. The tour stay includes daily à la carte breakfast for two and one special dinner during the four nights.
Ubud’s temples, rice terraces, and markets are a short drive away. A signature experience is the dawn Melukat water blessing at Tirta Empul Temple with a village storyteller. The tour includes a choice of three complimentary activities per person.
